July Crop Addcit Layouts!
Got my stuff done for the July Crop Addict kit in the nick of time. I really think this was my favorite kit to work with so far. (Although I say that every month, lol!)

Anyways, as always, here's your sneak peek and to see more, go here: click me click me!

Camp Grandma's
Here's a few pics from the few days we spent at Grams' house. Em really dug the little pool (yay!) and Atticus was ok to play in it for a little while... then he was done and ready to go back inside. They both insisted on playing in the floats, which was quite ridiculous looking in the little pool. Anyways... enjoy this little slice of our summer.

My July Class for Scrap Etc.
We've all got our favorites: favorite photos, favorite quotes, favorite songs... things that stir an emotion as soon as we see it. Things that breath life into our creative side; things that inspire us.

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Join me at Scrap Etc. as we put together a mini album of all those favorites; something we can refer to when we are needing a breath of fresh air... a little piece of our favorites to carry with us. This album will be enclosed in a felt covering that could easily be tucked into a purse or diaper bag to be a constant reminder of our favorites. We'll be playing with Queen & Co.,
Creative Imaginations, Hambly, and of course, paint, ink, and stamping (as well as a few other goodies!)

Call (205) 985-9323 for more info or to sign up. :)

Hey you!
Heather, email me your address at 2blackflipflops@gmail.com 'cause you won the card and little fun pack! :) Woohoo!

(P.S. No pics tonight because I didn't get the time to sit down and edit... and normally I wouldn't mind putting them up here w/out the editing, but they are pretty bright and need to be toned down some. Hopefully tomorrow....)
i hate coming up with titles.
We're back into a normal swing of things here after a week of Camp Grandma's (I went there too for a few days and got a little relaxing in).

I just had to share some pics (of course) and also, a story from the insanity that is my life.

I decided that this pregnancy, I was going to attempt to do some exercise, since I didn't do it either of my other pregnancies, and hope that it would help me out with all the side affects (like the lovely swollen ankles that I tend to get). I did some research and ended up getting this:

I tried it out for the first time today, and I was kind of dreading it. I am not an "exercise" person; I don't enjoy it at all. I hate feeling sweaty and out of breath, and I don't really feel like I ever see results (probably because I usually only last about a week). All of this, I know, is my own prissiness and poor attitude.

I actually REALLY liked this video. I felt like I got a workout but that I wasn't in over my head... it was totally manageable for someone like me, who is rather, shall we say, coordinationally challenged. Not a lot of complicated moves, but fun and definitely getting my blood flowing.

Anyways, so I'm doing it with Em & Atticus wandering around beneath my feet...Emerson dressed in a tank top & shorts like Mommy (if something requires a wardrobe change she's definitely in on it) and Atticus practicing his walking skills. I'm getting going, feeling a bit sweaty but not gross, and the workout chic is saying to "breathe deep," etc., like they always say.

I don't think she counted on the participants of the video having someone with poop in their diaper beneath their feet, because breathing in deep was NOT a good choice for me at the moment.

So after we get that little issue squared away, I move on to the yoga/floor exercise portion of the vid. Emerson has worn herself out after running circles around me during the salsa/cha-cha-cha section, so she's chilling on the chair just watching me do these funny stretches.

Atticus, on the other hand, thinks it's a GREAT idea that I'm down on the floor on his level, so he decides to use me as a jungle gym and repeatedly tackles me, rolls around on my criss-crossed legs, and generally makes it really difficult for me to "breathe in deeply" (yet again) and close my eyes, visualize the little baby growing inside of me, yada yada yada.

So all in all- a good exercise session. ;)

Actually, all this aside, I really liked it and felt good about myself. I'll definitely be trying to keep up with this 3-4 times a week

Gotta run, Emerson's been begging me to read "David in Trouble" (which she really loves for the burping "Excuuuuuuse me" picture) and then both kiddos are going down for a nap... I'll be back later to update with some photos from Grams' house after I get them edited.

Alright guys...
I'll do the drawing for the card & little goodie bag tomorrow (Monday) evening, so you've still got another 24 hours to leave me a joke! :)

freedom, freedom, FREEDOM....
the kids are gone to "camp grandma's" for two days so i can get some catching up done around the house. i seriously had not put away laundry in the kids' rooms in i don't know how long. ugh!

i've just gone through all of em's clothes & organized her closet. such a nice feeling for everything to have a place and to purge some. we're getting a trundle bed for her room tonight from some nice folks on freecycle, and we're trying to get the room all ready in preparation for atticus to join her before the new baby arrives. i know we've got some time to prepare for that, but it's best to get stuff done when you can, because time flies by so quickly.

atticus is not quite walking yet, but we keep hoping it'll be any day now. he just doesn't seem to be too motivated. he's such a happy little guy.

yesterday emerson was talking on "her" cell phone, and she kept calling people... papa, grandma, 'ninner' (ginger), kari-ann, and...... strawberry shortcake. i was totally cracking up. she is so silly.

oh glorious rain... we are actually having a thunderstorm at the moment. i really don't remember the last time it poured like this. seriously- a month at least, prob longer. it's like my dream day... i've got the house all to myself and can clean and organize to my heart's content, with the thunder and rain cleaning the earth outside. yay! :)

here's some cards i made last weekend and just hadn't had a chance to upload yet.... they were part of a challenge from my friend karen. i had to use the "wishing you joy" stamp and the blue velvet ribbon to make some cards.

and part two of the challenge is to give one of the cards to someone who lives outside of the state of alabama... so post a silly joke here for me, and i will put your name in a drawing for the card of your choice and a couple of other little goodies! :)

a little photography love.
i by no means consider myself a "great" photographer; just someone that loves to take pictures and fiddles with it to try to get a good outcome.

i recently purchased allison tyler jones' book, "expressions," which is AWESOME for someone like me who wants to "fiddle" with pictures & photography, but gets stumped once a lot of numbers and fstops and jazz gets thrown at her. awesome book, y'all. if you are a parent or grandparent and just want some good, basic tips in plain language, get this book.

anyways, so i've been trying to do a little photography here and there since i've been stuck at home lately, and i've also been learning to mess with actions in photoshop (don't laugh, adrienne- yes it's taken me this long.) ;)

so here's a few little things i've experimented with lately:

(yes, that is ink on atticus' face and yes, that is a harry potter stamp in his mouth. tee hee!)

finally, on a random note... shaun showed me this at an etsy shop. i think i might need to get it!

nighty night!

Am I still living?
Why, yes, yes I am.

Mostly it's the sort of living that makes your days blur together and make you thankful for good food and a good nap. We're still living in the midst of the throes of the first trimester, although it's been better than my first two pregnancies as far as the actual throwing up is concerned. (I'm sure you all wanted to know that, eh?)

At the moment, we're jamming out (wow, I feel really cheesy saying that) to the Fratellis:

The kids totally dig them... completely ridiculous to look in the back of the van and see both of their little heads bobbing to it. Love it.

At the moment we're waiting on our friends Harper Lee & Liv to come over and chill with us today... looking to hear lots of giggles for the next few hours. (Hopefully giggles...)

I started packing my kits for my Scrap Etc. "Cherish Today" class this weekend. WOW I cannot believe how full the class is. I am really pumped... I've started trying to think up what I will teach next month. Any suggestions?

Since I've been out of the loop, I didn't post it here, but I did upload my June layouts for Crop Addcit... you can check 'em out here.....

Here's a sneaky peeky:

I've been working on getting my Christmas shopping done, thanks to some big sales I've hit recently. I've NEVER been one of those people that gets their shopping done early, although I've always imagined myself to be. This year, however, knowing that I'm going to be LARGELY pregnant come the fall & holiday season, I'm trying to get it knocked out now. I'd say I've got about 70% purchased so far! WOOHOO!

I should probably get off of here now... the girls will be here soon and I'm also watching some ebay auctions for cute maternity shirts... can never have enough comfy & cute maternity tops. Especially at the rate we're going. ;)

Later dudes!

SPOILER WARNING FOR LOST (SORRY!)
(P.S. I've been in denial that Charlie is gone from LOST... I didn't really think he was until I was told that the creator's confirmed it. I am seriously overwrought about this. :( Poor Charlie. I don't think I can re-watch that final episode now, knowing that the end result is what it is.)
