So, I decided to finally bite the bullet and sign up for Weight Watchers.
I did it before, many many many years ago, and had a lot of success with it.
I like that it's not a diet, but a lifestyle change.
I like that I still feel in control of what I'm eating.
I like that I feel like I get support.
I like their website with all the resources on there.
But most importantly, I like that I actually set a goal and reach it.
Anyways, please please please feel free to leave me any comments on any tips or favorite foods you do with WW. I'm not much of a cook, so simple = fabulous with me!
Here's what I've had so far today, and I've only had 8 points (out of my daily allotment of 22 points):
-Yummy granola bar for b'fast (3 points)
-Quesadilla of sorts (Mission Wheat Tortilla, Southwest Corn & Black Bean Salsa, Weight Watchers Mexican Cheese blend, Fat Free Sour Cream): 4 points
-And these yummy snack cakes (you get THREE in a little package!) for 1 point!
I'll probably have a Smart Ones meal for dinner... I'm trying to keep things really simple at the moment. I am really motivated to lose all this baby weight...especially after seeing some horribly unflattering photos of myself recently.
P.S. I'll be doing my little drawing this evening from the post about photography for all you sweeties that left a comment! Make sure to check back later!

amazing web site with lists of restaurants, recipes, and common food point values
They come in PB, Caramel, and Chocolate. They are 2 points and keep you full.
I need to get back on the WW train. I fell off a few weeks ago and haven't been back on.
Thanks for the inspiration!
Have you ever tried the pumpkin muffins (the ones that use one can of pumpkin and one spice cake mix)? They are great. And, I think only ONE point per muffin!
Good luck !
HUGS,
Jenn :)
Hubby and I just joined last night also! (this is not my first time either . . . it's like my 4th time - oh well, it really works!)
(Whoever posted about the diet soda cake - post info please since I haven't heard about this.)
One of my favorite snacks is fruit smoothie.
1 cup ff milk
2 tablespoons of the powder for ff instant vanilla pudding
1/4 - 1/3 cup splenda (not the little packet stuff but the larger bag stuff
1 tsp vanilla extract (I also use the ff vanilla syrup for coffee - no points and you can use as much as you need to taste)
approx 3/4 - 1 cup frozen fruit (strawberries, peaches, or pineapples, etc.) I buy the large mixed bag at Sam's)
1 - 2 cups ice cubes
Mix liquids and powders in blender. Add fruit and then ice cubes. This makes a huge amount! I will put half of it in bowl in freezer for later.
This ends of being around 5 - 6 points for the whole thing before you half it.
Another variation is use lowfat chocolate milk and chocolate ff pudding with the splenda and vanilla extract (or try the caramel ff syrup - it is wonderful!!). I can't remember the points but it is wonderful also.
