So that was scary.
Woke up at 3:30am to tornado sirens.

Pull up the internet.

Tornado warnings. Can't find out exactly what's going on, though.

Electricity goes out.

It looks like a strobe light is outside. It's really loud. Hail. Intense wind.

I'm scared.

I wake up Shaun, get the baby. Sit there and listen.

It's so loud.

Then it was gone.

Am finding out this morning that there was a fatality in Leeds, lots of damage, and they are researching the possibility that a small tornado touched down here.

Scary stuff. It has definitely shaken me up

But we are okay.

Yikes!! I'm glad ya'll are ok!

Thanks for the heart attack early this morning. I think I was holding my breath until I finished reading (of course if you all had been hurt....you wouldn't be posting....I think). Glad you all are ok. That is the one thing I don't miss from our days in Kansas. I can't even tell you how many times we ran to the basement!

Oh my gosh... that's WAY too close to home, literally for you! So glad you are ok, my heart is still pounding.

I woke up from a dead (Benadryll induced) sleep-Quinn was right behind me-and ran upstairs to grab the boys and bring them downstairs where we sat on our bed waiting for the storm to pass. There was a pile of hail outside the front door and trees down in the neighborhood. There was also a huge metal thing in the front yard that had blown in from somewhere. SCARY. I'm glad it was short. Glad you guys are okay. I had not heard about the fatality in Leeds.

Yowsers ... why do these things always happen in the middle of the night or during naptime. We had some horrid rain and tornadoes in our area a couple weeks back. I kept hearing sirens ... it was a boat that ran into the levee by our house. Crazy stuff. Glad you guys are okay.

On a lighter note, I am super excited about getting my kit from you! The pictures made me want to do it even more! You can email me your address and I'll send it right away :-)!

whoa...that's freaky. After I read your post I asked PJ if it stormed here and he said that we had a very long conversation in the middle of the night about the major storm blowing through here. He even got up and checked the TV and came back and gave me a report. He says I fully participated in this conversation but I have no recollection of a storm or a conversation. Geez.
